Join the bike bus
We communicate on our SOMa Bike Bus WhatsApp Community. Inside the Community there is a chat group for a bike bus at each SOMSD school (including schools that have not yet organized a bike bus). Follow the link below to join the community, and then join a chat for your or your child’s school.
To fight bots who only post spam, you will start off in a bot group when you first join the community. Humans can then leave the bot group and join one or more of our school, volunteer, social, or other groups designed for wonderful fellow humans.

Volunteers
You don’t need to have kids in school to join the bike bus! We ride with volunteer ride marshals who are volunteers on bikes that keep the group safe. We have various roles depending on the group size, such as captain, caboose, and sprinters that block intersections. If you enjoy riding your bike, have a little extra time in your morning routine, and want a big smile on your face, come ride with us on one of our bike busses. It’s fun and easy.
